I'm a little Indian

Thankful

My heart is full and thankful this year!  The blessings in my life are too many to count and I thank God everyday!  Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16 :33-35  The boys feel blessed too, and wrote things they were thankful for on leaves and hung them on our "thankful tree".  Some of the things Jaden was thankful for included all of his friends and family, clothes, shoes, our house, swimming, toys, etc.... Some of the things Brody was thankful for included Spiderman, The Hulk, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Cookies, Candy, and Treats!  If you can't tell by their list, my two boys have very different personalities! :)

Jaden had Thanksgiving lunch at school
The boys napped on the way to the ranch where we spent Thanksgiving with the Bibler's!  The Texans Football game had us on our toes, but they pulled out a win in OT.

Brody had a sweet feast party at his school

Halloween 2012

I don't know about you but I think we should start a petition to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October!  It is hard on everyone to have such a fun day scheduled smack dab in the middle of the week.  Our Halloween morning started off with drama.  Jaden wanted his hair green, but did not inform me of that until right before we were heading out the door to watch his parade at school.  So I had a brilliant idea and put some  green eyeshadow I never use in his hair to make it green.  He thought this was a great idea too, until the green color was darker than he envisioned.  Then the tears came.  It was the wrong green people!  So, he proceeded to talk his daddy into washing the color out.  Only problem was that the eye shadow had some major staying power and refused to wash out.  So wet, green haired Jaden went to school in tears.  Don't worry he recovered quickly and a few minutes after drop off, Josh, Grandma, Papa, Spider Man  and I watched Jaden's Kinder parade and he was all smiles.  Brody had a Halloween party at school followed by a parade through the church.  We had another parade around the neighborhood before trick or treating with friends.  The boys had a great day, despite a few tears, and we were all exhausted and in bed by 8:30!
Jaden was Cheetah Champ and had a visit from the class fish.  We thought it was appropriate to dress him up for Halloween.  He was a lamb!
