Snow Day

We had a snow day in Austin! I love the snow. I love to go on vacations where there is snow, I love building snow men, I love how beautiful everything looks when wearing a white coat of snow, and I especially love when it snows in Austin. It is a somewhat rare occurrence, which is probably part of the reason I love it. I do have to say though, I would not be able to tolerate more than one or two days of snow. It is so fun because it is special, otherwise it would just be a nuisance like it is up north. I live in Texas because I only love special snow, not all the time snow. My oldest son however really LOVES snow. He woke up Friday morning and had the biggest smile on his face because of the snow. He wanted to immediately venture out into the winter wonderland, but being his mother and the fact that it was only 7:00 in the morning, I made him wait until 8. He did all things fun that you can do in the snow, he made a snow angel,

he made snow balls

and he sledded down this hill , along with almost every other kid in our neighborhood. I will post a video of that once I get it downloaded. Jaden enjoyed every second of his snow day, and can't wait for the next one. He was o so sad when it had melted by the next day.
