Christmas Pictures

Christmas is my favorite holiday and I know it is such a busy time for everyone, but it seems especially busy for our little family.  We have Christmas and all the fun that comes with that, and then we have 4 birthdays in a row.  That makes for alot of celebrating in a very short period.  Here are a few pictures from Christmas, more to come!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth

The tooth fairy has been busy at our house these last few weeks.  Jaden has lost two of his top teeth and two of his bottom teeth in just a few short months.  I guess I am not totally surprised since he usually grew several teeth at a time when he was a baby.  Such a big boy!

Grapevine and the Gaylord

We loaded up last weekend and headed to Dallas to celebrate Raley's 5th birthday!  I can not believe how big our kids are getting.  We stayed at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine.  The Gaylord is one of the most beautiful hotels and they go all out for Christmas.  It was magical. The whole town of Grapevine takes Christmas decorating pretty seriously and the downtown area pictured below was so fun for the kids.  They had a singing Christmas tree and tons of lights.

The Gaylord has an ICE show every year.  This year the theme was Merry Madagascar! They make you wear heavy jackets because it is 9 degrees inside of the show.  It was FREEZING!  I thought the ice was amazing and at the end they had an ice slide that the kids wanted to go down over and over again!

At the very end of the ICE show they had a nativity and they were playing audio with the story of Jesus!  LOVE that they did this!  It was my favorite part of the show!

 The hotel was gorgeous!

I'm a little Indian

Thankful

My heart is full and thankful this year!  The blessings in my life are too many to count and I thank God everyday!  Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16 :33-35  The boys feel blessed too, and wrote things they were thankful for on leaves and hung them on our "thankful tree".  Some of the things Jaden was thankful for included all of his friends and family, clothes, shoes, our house, swimming, toys, etc.... Some of the things Brody was thankful for included Spiderman, The Hulk, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Cookies, Candy, and Treats!  If you can't tell by their list, my two boys have very different personalities! :)

Jaden had Thanksgiving lunch at school
The boys napped on the way to the ranch where we spent Thanksgiving with the Bibler's!  The Texans Football game had us on our toes, but they pulled out a win in OT.

Brody had a sweet feast party at his school

Halloween 2012

I don't know about you but I think we should start a petition to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October!  It is hard on everyone to have such a fun day scheduled smack dab in the middle of the week.  Our Halloween morning started off with drama.  Jaden wanted his hair green, but did not inform me of that until right before we were heading out the door to watch his parade at school.  So I had a brilliant idea and put some  green eyeshadow I never use in his hair to make it green.  He thought this was a great idea too, until the green color was darker than he envisioned.  Then the tears came.  It was the wrong green people!  So, he proceeded to talk his daddy into washing the color out.  Only problem was that the eye shadow had some major staying power and refused to wash out.  So wet, green haired Jaden went to school in tears.  Don't worry he recovered quickly and a few minutes after drop off, Josh, Grandma, Papa, Spider Man  and I watched Jaden's Kinder parade and he was all smiles.  Brody had a Halloween party at school followed by a parade through the church.  We had another parade around the neighborhood before trick or treating with friends.  The boys had a great day, despite a few tears, and we were all exhausted and in bed by 8:30!
Jaden was Cheetah Champ and had a visit from the class fish.  We thought it was appropriate to dress him up for Halloween.  He was a lamb!
