This past weekend, Josh's company, Elite Financing Group, hosted a UT tailgate party. He does this and several other parties every year. Josh would tell you that it is "great networking & advertisement" I will tell you that what Josh really means to say is that he likes a good party, and sometimes needs a reason to throw one, like longhorn football. In order to get a spot for tailgating you have to sit in a parking lot starting Thursday before the game. Josh made the news several times for his determination in having the best party spot. He sat in a chair in the parking lot, all day Thursday, and all day Friday until the RV was delivered, and then he spent the night in the RV Friday night. When I find the news clips I will post them. Josh's parents were kind enough to pick up our kids and take them to the ranch so that Josh and I could "network" :) all day & night. We spent Saturday night in the RV after the party. It was tons of fun, and I can't wait for next year.

Rainy Weekend Fun
When you are stuck at home on a rainy weekend with an energic (to say the least) toddler, and a teething baby, you have to get creative in your entertaining. Normally we spend ALOT of time outside running around, going to the park, playing in the sprinkler, watering plants, kicking balls, etc. Not being able to go outside is disappointing for all of us, but we Thank God for all the wonderful rain. So here is what we did:

A new school year!
We all started preschool today and it was great! Last fall I started teaching tuesdays and thursdays from 9-1 at a Church Preschool. When I had Brody I took the rest of the year off to be home with him. Jaden continued going until summer break. This year I am teaching the same class again. Jaden is in the 2 class that meets on Tues, Wed, Thurs, right next door to me, and Brody is in the Tues Thurs baby class across the hall. Both of my boys did a great job in their classes without mommy. And even though I had 12 two years old in my class (and one teacher assistant) it was a welcome break from my own kids. It is good for them to be cared for by someone other than mommy from time to time. Jaden's girlfriend Abby is in his class again this year. I was on the playground with them during recess and it was so much fun to watch them play. Brody didn't cry the whole time he was with his new teachers, which was great because it was definitely the longest time he had been with a stranger. Let's hope they both stay happy with school and settle easily into a new routine.
