I'm a little Indian

Thankful

My heart is full and thankful this year!  The blessings in my life are too many to count and I thank God everyday!  Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16 :33-35  The boys feel blessed too, and wrote things they were thankful for on leaves and hung them on our "thankful tree".  Some of the things Jaden was thankful for included all of his friends and family, clothes, shoes, our house, swimming, toys, etc.... Some of the things Brody was thankful for included Spiderman, The Hulk, Cars, Trucks, Boats, Cookies, Candy, and Treats!  If you can't tell by their list, my two boys have very different personalities! :)

Jaden had Thanksgiving lunch at school
The boys napped on the way to the ranch where we spent Thanksgiving with the Bibler's!  The Texans Football game had us on our toes, but they pulled out a win in OT.

Brody had a sweet feast party at his school

Halloween 2012

I don't know about you but I think we should start a petition to move Halloween to the last Saturday of October!  It is hard on everyone to have such a fun day scheduled smack dab in the middle of the week.  Our Halloween morning started off with drama.  Jaden wanted his hair green, but did not inform me of that until right before we were heading out the door to watch his parade at school.  So I had a brilliant idea and put some  green eyeshadow I never use in his hair to make it green.  He thought this was a great idea too, until the green color was darker than he envisioned.  Then the tears came.  It was the wrong green people!  So, he proceeded to talk his daddy into washing the color out.  Only problem was that the eye shadow had some major staying power and refused to wash out.  So wet, green haired Jaden went to school in tears.  Don't worry he recovered quickly and a few minutes after drop off, Josh, Grandma, Papa, Spider Man  and I watched Jaden's Kinder parade and he was all smiles.  Brody had a Halloween party at school followed by a parade through the church.  We had another parade around the neighborhood before trick or treating with friends.  The boys had a great day, despite a few tears, and we were all exhausted and in bed by 8:30!
Jaden was Cheetah Champ and had a visit from the class fish.  We thought it was appropriate to dress him up for Halloween.  He was a lamb!

Cheetah Chasers

Jaden has joined running club at school.  Every Monday after school all of the Cheetah Chasers run around the park and parent volunteers keep count of how many laps they make.  Jaden is in the purple shirt below with both of his feet off the ground. :)  Purple is the Kinder color.  And of course, his running partner is a cute little girl from his class.  He ran the track 4 times which is about 2 miles.  He ran the entire time.  Brody and I are going to join him today, but I think we will walk and see how many times he can pass us.

Jaden turns 6!

Dear Jaden,
I can not believe you are 6 years old!  Your six years of life have given me more happiness and blessings than any of the years before your arrival.  I am so privileged to be your mommy.  There are so many things about you that I adore.  I love that any time a song with a beat comes on you immediately start dancing.  And you are a great dancer! You also have a beautiful voice.  You don't share that beautiful voice with to many people because you get embarrassed when others tell you how great you sing, but you share your voice with me and I love it when you sing.  I especially love that so many of your favorite songs are ones that worship God!  I know God loves to hear you sing too!  I love that you are sweet and sensitive and you think about others all the time, you even put your little brothers requests above your own most of the time. You light up our life and bring joy to our house on a daily basis.  My hope for you is that you continue to grow and bring joy to others around you and that you continue to grow in your love for God and that one day soon you have your own personal relationship with Jesus.  As much as I love you, he loves you more! I can't imagine my life without you and I am so glad God choose me to be your mommy!  I love you to the moon and back!!

First Day of School

We have officially survived the first week of school, (the second week for Jaden).  The boys couldn't be happier to be back at school.  Jaden loves Kinder!  He likes all of his new friends and his teacher.  I am so grateful for his happiness because I would be a mess if he didn't like it.  As it was, I teared up several times the week before school started and again during his first week. But now we are through all of the newness, no more tears from me and we are all happy to be on a consistent schedule again. Brody had a great first week too.  He is in the 3's class with Ms. Amy and Ms. Stephanie.  They were Jaden's teachers too and we just adore them.  And I survived my first week as Director of the preschool.  I love my new position.  My favorite part is that I get to love on teachers, kids and families and that I can share God's love with them.  I count my blessings everyday and my new job is definitely one of those blessings.  Here are some pictures from the first day of school.

He was happy about his first day of school, but not so happy about taking a picture at 7:00 am.
 All smiles after school
