Thanksgiving 2011

This Thanksgiving we have much to be grateful for. Our little family thanks God everyday for all of the blessings in our life. We are especially grateful for the people in our lives. Our everday life is sweeter because of the people in it, especially our family. We headed to Leakey to celebrate the holiday. Here are some of the highlights!

A Cedar tree dried with the summer drought and fell over. Jaden declared this tree his tree house. He spent alot of his time in this tree. He also wore a racoon hat almost the entire time we were in Leakey. I gues he wanted to be one with nature.

Halloween 2011

Ok, for some reason I took the worst Halloween pictures ever. My first mistake was that I only took a few. Here they are, I'll do better next year!

Our neighborhood is perfect for trick or treating. The boys had a great time.

Happy 60th Birthday Grandpa!

What a great weekend we had. We went to Galveston for the weekend to celebrate Grandpa Bibler's 60Th birthday. The whole family was there and we enjoyed every minute of our time together. These pictures are going to start at the end and work backwards because I always forget that blogger works backwards. One of these days I will get the hang of uploading pictures in the correct order. So, we ended our weekend at Joe's Crab shack for an early dinner on Sunday. We chose Joe's because it was on the seawall, so it had a beautiful ocean view, it had a playground for the kids, and tvs for football.

Here is Grandpa getting ready to dance at Joe's. The waitress told him to hold the salt and pepper shaker and then shake everything but the shakers. He was a great sport!
On Sunday afternoon, we took the kids to Moody Gardens for their trick or treating. Here they are in their costumes. So cute!

I thought it was so cute that Brody was just like every other boy watching football.

Josh's parent were sweet enough ( or brave enough) to watch all four kiddos so that us big kids could go to the strand for a few hours and have some adult fun.

On Saturday morning we took family photos. We hired a professional and will get the photos back in a few weeks. I will make sure and post them. I am hoping for at least a few good shots. I also took a few with my camera. It was a little cold on Saturday, but that did not stop my boys from running straight into the ocean fully clothed. They love water!

They have a cool park play scape in Galveston that we took the kids to.

We are so very thankful to have such a wonderful family that we have so much fun with. I know that it is one of God's greatest blessings. We hope you had a wonderful birthday Grandpa! We love you!

Star Student of the Week

This week Jaden was star student in his Turtle class. When you are star student you get to bring home a backpack with Franklin the Turtle and you make a poster with your favorite things. Franklin is your guest for the weekend, and you are suppose to take him on adventures. So on the way home from school we stopped at Michaels for poster making supplies. We got all the essentials you need for a great poster including glitter glue pens. Here is Jaden making his poster. Franklin supervised the glitter extravaganza.

He used every last ounce of glitter glue.
The poster had some questions to answer and stick on there. One of them was "What makes you special ?" His reply was " that all the girls like me."

We took Franklin on lots of adventures. We went to the zoo on Sunday after church. We decided that Franklin would like to visit his turtle friends. And I had a groupon to the zoo that needed to be used.

Jaden was so excited to get to the turtle pen and when we got there these turtles were "wrestling". We quickly walked away from this group and around the corner to the other turtles that were not wrestling.

We stopped at Wendy's for a little fast food. Franklin likes french fries.

On Friday night we went to Flores for dinner, where Franklin had chips. We don't normally eat out so much, but since we had company it was a special weekend.

Standing proud by his finished poster hanging at school.

Camera Thief!

What happens when you tell Brody he can't use your camera? He waits until you are not looking then he takes it from the office. Then he takes a few pictures. Then he hides the camera in his room. Here are some of his pictures.

He happened to hide the camera the weekend of Jaden's birthday which had me in a tizzy. I could not find it anywhere. I did not even know that Brody had taken it. We had family over and Rian needed a nap, so we pulled Brody's pack n play out of his closet and when we opened it up out popped the camera. Little stinker had not only taken the camera he hid it. We never use the pack n play anymore, so it would have taken me forever to find the camera. I laughed out loud when I saw the pictures he had taken. Unfortunately, he is in a hiding stage right now and it is driving me nuts. I just found my favorite lipstick and some of my rubber bands in his backpack. Silly boy!
