We were booed the other night. Someone from our neighborhood rang our door bell and then left this basket of goodies for us. There was a note explaining the booing process, and that it was now our turn to Boo someone else. So we did and it was fun! I love being a part of a fun, active neighborhood. It makes life just a little sweeter.Monday, October 18, 2010

La Dolce Vita
Last night was a big date night for Josh and I. We went to the La Dolce Vita Food & Wine Festival. But that is not exactly the big part. We used a babysitter. Until last night, we have only had my mom, Josh's mom, or Josh's brother watch our babies. So last night was a big step for us. Our new babysitter is a high school student that is the daughter of one of Josh's friends. She lives around the corner from us and she was awesome. And now that we have a babysitter, we will get to have many more date nights. YEAH! The festival was lots of fun and we had yummy food and lots of good wine. Our friends Beau & Ashley gave us free tickets to the event which costs $120 a ticket (ouch). So not only did we have a great date, it was free! Beau got the tickets free because he works at the Ferrari dealership and they were one of the sponsors for the event.
One of the Ferrari's at the event, this one is worth 1 million dollars

The festival was at Laguna Gloria which was just beautiful. The were 100's of food & wine vendors there giving samples, including the best restaraunts in Austin. It was so nice to have a lovely evening out together. We will definitely do it again soon. Especially now that we have a babysitter. Yeah!Thursday, October 7, 2010
Jaden's 4th Birthday

Jaden was so cute when everyone sang Happy Birthday to him. He had the biggest smile and was blushing

Last weekend we celebrated Jaden's 4th birthday. I know every mom always says it, but I can not believe my baby is 4. He is such a sweetheart and just when I think it is impossible to love him anymore I do, every day. His party was a huge success. All of his favorite friends came, including his best friend Abby. We had the slip n slide, swimming pool, and a bounce house. We had pizza and cake and lots of fun. Thanks to all of you who came, especially the grandparents who drove in from out of town. Jaden felt loved and adored on his birthday!Thursday, September 30, 2010

Relaxing a little
Last weekend we went to Houston. We visited my brother and his family. I got to meet my new nephew Ryder who was born Sept 8th. He is such a sweet baby and I instantly fell in love with him. Thanks Sam & Jessica for letting me love on Ryder so much, I am a proud Aunt. We also went to Galveston and enjoyed the beach. The boys LOVED it! Josh's moms sisters were all in town so we got to spend some time with them at the beach too. I am so glad they let us tag along with them. They all live out of state, so we don't get to see them enough. Josh went to the Texans/Cowboys game while we were at the beach. I am sure he had a great time, but it would have been better if the Texans would have won.Monday, September 27, 2010

A Girl Shower
Finally one of my friends is having a girl. We all have boys so we are celebrating that Debbie is having a girl. She has a son who is Jaden's age, this will be her second child. My good friend Jenn and I threw Debbie a Ladies Only Shower at my house a few weeks ago, and loved doing all things pink. Here are a few pictures. Can't wait to have another baby in our group!

Labor Day Fun!
We had such a nice Labor Day Weekend. We went to the Ranch to visit Josh's parents and Grandparents from Arizona. It was so nice to see his Grandparents, they live so far away that we don't get to spend enough time with them. On Monday, they came to stay with us and see our new house, and we took them to Cafe Blue, and to see the lake.
Looking at the water, really wanting to get in. The day after we took this picture, it started raining in Austin and we had 14 inches of rain in 24 hours. The lake is now full, and not low like it looks in the picture, and where the kids are standing is now under water.
Sunday we went exploring at the LBJ Ranch in Stonewall. It is a beautiful ranch and they offer drive thru tours of the property. So the kids and I and Josh's mom listened to the CD and drove thru the ranch, but didn't make any stops until we got to the living history farm. The rest of the group stopped at LBJ's house (the Texas White House) for that tour.
Of course Brody wanted to ride the wagon. Any and all things transportation for him.
