Our busy weekend

Sunday we went to the ranch with the rest of Josh's family to hang out and do a little work to get the house ready for summer. Jaden had a great time running around and playing with his cousin Raley. Brody slept through Colten's birthday party

Jaden ran circles around the bounce house at Colten's 3rd birthday party on Saturday. He had a great time and his face was beat red when we left. He came home and took a three hour nap. Yeah! My wonderful husband spoiled me all day by cooking and cleaning and making me feel like a princess for Valentines Day. He even made me a candle-lit bubble bath after the kids went to bed. So sweet! I love you babe!

I have told you before about Jaden and his girlfriend Abby. He met her this past fall when he started preschool at Canyon Creek Church. They had an instant connection and have been bonded ever since. Today was there Valentine party. I went to take some pictures. Jaden hugged Abby at least three times while I was there. Abby's mom is in MOPS with me, and we just laugh at how much our little ones like each other and decided we will have to make summer play dates. Hopefully, they will be in the same class next year, and their fondness of each other will continue. Happy Early Valentines Day!

Connor's 2nd Birthday!

We all loaded up and went to Connor's 2nd birthday party this past weekend. It is so much fun to get all of our crazy kids together. Jaden is such a social bug that he has tons of friends. At school, his best friends are Abby and John. In our circle of friends, his best friends are Connor, Walker, and Colten. But by far he plays the best with Connor. They are so silly and make each other laugh constantly. Whenever we get in the car, Jaden asks if we can go to Nonnor's House, (which is his name for Connor). This was also Brody's first birthday party. He was a trooper and spent most of it sleeping in a Baby Bjorn on my chest. He didn't even hardly make a peep.

Jaden wants to love and hold Brody as much as possible. He jumps up on the couch with the Boppy and asks for the baby. He is such a great big brother. I know he can't wait for Brody to get bigger so that they can play.

Most people think Jaden is a mini Josh, and lately all I hear is how Brody is a mini- me. I think they resemeble each other so much in these pictures they could be twins. So, either Josh and I look alike, or they are just a good blend of both of us. Or maybe people think Brody looks like me because he has brown hair. What do you think?

Jaden is such a Big Boy

Here are a few recent pictures

We have been telling Jaden for months about how he is such a big boy and how cool it is to be a big boy. We've preached about how lucky he is and how much more a big boy can do than a little baby. Of course, we said all of this to help prepare him for Brody's arrival and didn't actually believe that he was really all that big of a boy. Maybe a large baby, but definitely not a big boy. However, we've realized that something has happened over the last few weeks...Jaden has become a BIG BOY! All of a sudden his little baby hands and feet seem gigantic to us! He might as well be as tall as a five year old when he stretches out beside Brody. He doesn't need a booster seat when he sits at the table and he can drink out of a regular cup. (with supervision) He constantly surprises us with all that he knows and to be honest it has been freaking us out a bit. However, after careful consideration, we decided that instead of sitting around wondering how our baby could have gotten so big so fast that it would be much more beneficial to just embrace our little pre-teen. He started soccer tots with Daddy today. I was not there, but was told that they had alot of fun. All I know is he was so tired he crashed in the car on the way home and finally took a good nap, something he has not been doing lately.
