First Day of School

Summer Fun

This summer we have been soaking up the fun!  We spent 2 whole weeks in Leakey!  We have been to 3 summer camps, one awesome VBS, had a trip to the ranch, a trip to the farm,  a couple of birthday parties, and lots and lots of swimming!  We have a few more fun things to do in August and then it will be back to school!  

 VBS was a spy theme this year!  Perfect for my little boys.  I was in charge of Jaden's group.  We had 11 soon to be second grade boys.  They were super fun, sweet, loud, crazy and of course energetic! The sweetest thing happened that I didn't expect, two of those little boys prayed to accept Jesus as their Savior with me.  So so sweet and special!  I know that accepting Jesus as your Savior is the most important decision you will ever make.  It was very emotional for me to be a part of that sweet moment with them and I am so grateful that God used me in that way!

Brody's Graduation and other happenings

Brody Bear graduated from preschool!  In a few short weeks he will be off to big school with Jaden.  He is so ready and I know he will love it!  For the first time since I started working at the preschool I will not have children attending school there.  It will be weird! 

 We celebrated graduation with a trip to Main Event.  For some reason, every time we give the boys a choice on where to go, they choose Main Event.  I am pretty sure it has something to do with all of the games.  We decided the boys might be old enough to give bowling a try.  They had sooo much fun!  

 Josh and I celebrated our 10 wedding anniversary with a weekend getaway.  God has blessed us beyond measure in our ten years together.  We are so grateful that we get to do life together.

 The little boys and I have been having tons of fun around the house.  We swim and play legos almost every day.  We have made play dough, we have learned how to tie tennis shoes,  we have gone on trips and we even learned how to play bean bags, a skill they need at our family reunions.

Jaden's 1st grade field trip and conference

How in the world is Jaden already done with first grade?  He has had an incredible year in Ms. Peters class.  She has been the BEST teacher!  He has grown so much this year, physically and mentally!  He is super smart and even in PACE Math.   He will probably surpass my math skills next year! He is still sweet and loves to cuddle.  I hope that never changes!  I went with him on the first grade field trip.  We went to Inner Space Caverns.  It was the first time for both of us.  It was really cool and I can't wait to go back with Brody when he goes in first grade!

 Those pictures are not the best representation of the cave , it's really pretty.  The week after the field trip, Jaden had a student led conference.  He was so excited to show me all of the hard work and cool things he had done over the year.  Don't let this picture fool you!  He was excited to share, but not excited to pose for a picture!  He gets that from his Daddy!

I am so proud of Jaden and the little man he is becoming!  7 years old is a great stage!  He is inquisitive, independent, and adorable!  I couldn't love him or this fun stage he is in anymore than I do!  I am looking forward to an amazing summer with my boys! 

Easter

Life is good if your name is Brody

If your name is Brody, you get to have one on one lunch dates with your favorite girl, your mommy, while Jaden is at big school.  And you may even get ice cream!  You will get to tell her as many stories as you would like and she gives you her undivided attention.  She loves your super hero, Chima lego adventures!

 You get to play t ball for the first time with four of your friends from school including your best friend!

 You also get to have play dates with your best friend where you eat Cheetos and play Legos

 You get to eat even more Cheetos by the pool with your brother

 You get to wear all blue and be part of the Rock Hounds

 You get to make a tough face because that is what guys do

And you get to chill whenever you want! Life is good!
