Lake Travis Party Barge

We don't let the low lake levels get us down. We rent a party barge and have a ton of fun celebrating what water is in the lake. Ha!

It is so nice for Josh and I to get a sitter for the kids and do something fun like this. I think our group decided to make it an annual thing.

Teibel Family Reunion 2011

Every other year, we are lucky enough to get Josh's mom side of the family (almost 60 people) together in one place. 2009 and 2011 we met at the ranch. It has proven to be such a great venue for all of us to get together, eat, drink, play and do all of the things we love to do in one place. Here are some of the picture highlights from this year.

Brody sleeping thru the live music, now that he is 2 1/2 and rarely naps, I truly treasure the times he does nap, especially in my arms.

I feel like I should mention that Jaden is on a picture strike and pretty much refuses to take very many if any pictures and so he will probably have fewer pictures than Brody on the blog, it's not me playing favorites in any way, just where we are right now. Can't wait until 2013 for the next reunion. We are so lucky to truly enjoy our family and we know that is just another one of the many blessings God has given us!

Lana's Girl Weekend!

One of my best friends from high school is getting married in September in Hawaii. Last weekend we had a girls weekend to celebrate her upcoming nuptials. Lana has been dating her future husband for longer than Josh and I have been together, so it is about time they get married. :)

The crew, Amy, Rhonda, Lori, Me, Lisa, Lana, Tara, Sherry, & Renee
All of us girls went to high school together (except Rhonda, & Lori) so it was great to be together again like the old days. What fun we all had reminiscing and catching up.

Super Brody

If you know Brody, then you probably know that lately he is "Super Brody". One of his favorite things to do is pretend to be a Super Hero. Here are some picts of his superness!

4th of July Fun!

The little boys and I headed to Leakey for our annual Frio River Adventure for the last week of June and the first week of July. The boys are getting bigger and the trip is easier now on this momma. They just cruise and watch their movies on the 3 hour trip down there, instead of taking turns crying like they use to. They play and wrestle and chill now, instead of needing me to entertain them constantly. And don't get me wrong they still demand alot from me, but it is easier and more fun than it use to be. I am enjoying every second of these little ones because I know in the blink of an eye they will be in High School. Here are some of the highlights from this year!

Brody is into making a stinker face when you ask him to smile
Jaden decided to try to mimic Brody's stinker face

There were tons of baby deer this trip

Lots of wrestling

True Grits

We joined The Matison's, The Ackmans', and The Kloesel's and took the kids to True Grits on Saturday. The kids had so much fun dancing and playing around, and the chicken fried steak was awesome!

The Austin Zoo

At the end of our adventure, I was trying to get a cute picture of the boys, It is IMPOSSIBLE. One smiles, one yawns, one looks away, the other gets up, don't they know that I am trying to capture memories that will last a lifetime. Jeez! All kidding aside, we had a fabulous time exploring the zoo. It was hot, but most of the paths are shaded so it was not to bad. It was not crowded at all, and most of the animals were out to say hello. We will go again later this summer.
See, one smiles, the other looks away

One smiles, one leaves the picture

And finally, the one decent picture, of the 12 I took, and when I say decent, at least they are both looking at the camera, with happy expressions. I have all boys in my little family, so I am guessing this whole not liking pictures things is going to stick around. Their daddy doesn't even like getting his picture taken. Oh well, I will keep trying!
