New House Pictures

Josh and I have been working hard getting the house put together. This weekend I painted our master bath and he did 3 hours of yard work. I'll post those pictures next time. Besides lots of work, we are enjoying just being in our new home. We have made friends with some neighbors, and I even went to the Ladies neighborhood Bunco group last week.
Here is the kitchen, it is really big and has so much storage I have empty cabinets. We had to get a new fridge and we picked the french door. I love it! In our old house we had stainless steel appliances and I hated them because both of the kids left fingerprints everytime they touched them, and it seemed like Brody made that his mission everytime he walked in the kitchen. The black is proving much better at not showing fingerprints, which means one less thing for me to clean! YEA!
The kitchen, breakfast area, and living room are all connected and open. I love being able to cook, or wash dishes and not feel like I am in the back corner of the house by myself.

Finally a new post

I know it has been forever since I posted. Sorry if you have been checking back frequently and found nothing new. But finally, I have internet, and some pictures and a few minutes to blog. So here are the pictures of our new house from the real estate listing.

My mom, grandma, aunt Kathy, and Josh's mom all got to spend Mother's Day together at our new house. I loved having all of the women around.

We are in the new house!

We are in our new house! EEK! I am so excitied about it that I can not even find words to express my happiness! We are all settling in nicely, and even the kids love the new house! I think they especially love the running room inside in out. I don't have any pictures to show you yet, since I am working on the laptop right now and all of my pictures are on the desktop which is still in a box, but I promise to post pictures soon. Until then, know that we are so happy and so thankful that God answered our prayers with our dream house. It is so amazing that everything worked out the way it did, and we know that God was the only one who could make it all work out so easily the way it did. I'll post again next week with lots of pictures!

9 days in the country

The kids and I went to my parents house for spring break. It was great! Nine days without internet, little tv time, and tons of outdoor fun. I'll start with the scary part of the trip. Jaden and I stumbled upon a snake hiding under a rock at the creek where we throw sticks for Duke. The snake freaked me out and I quickly ran to get Papa and the gun. After killing the snake, we discovered it was only a harmless rat snake, instead of a dangerous snake. If you know me very well, you know that I HATE snakes, HATE them. They FREAK ME OUT! I am not scared of spiders, or rats, or really anything else, but a snake will make me scream like a little girl and run for the hills. Just looking at this picture sorta freaks me out. So this snake never had a chance to survive once he was spotted by me. He had to die. Sorry snake.
I tried to get a picture of the boys frolicking in the absolutely gorgeous bluebonnets, but neither one would look at the camera.
On the farm, is this one area where sand runs down the hill when it rains and has formed what Jaden named "the biggest sand box ever"
We spent hours at the sand box, and the boys loved it
The longhorns are having calves and there are some cute ones
Cant resist the water
The cows coming to see if we have cubes to give them
The creek were we found the snake
This dirt is fun, I think I'll make a mud pie

Weekend Getaways

We have been going out of town every weekend so that our realtor could have Open Houses and we would not be in the way. The last weekend of Feb, the kids and I went to Leakey with my parents, and the last two weekends we have gone to the ranch. Well, actually just the little boys went to the ranch this past weekend to visit Grandma & Grandpa B. I am so glad that my babies get to spend so much time with their grandparents. We don't have any news on the house situation yet, we have had lots of interest, but no offers. Our time window on the new house is coming to end next weekend, so if we don't get an offer this week, we will have to back out of the new house. We'll see what happens.

We drove into Fredricksburg to stroll the streets and have some lunch

Snow!

We had beautiful snow in Austin this week. It of course only lasted a day and a half, but that makes it even more special. Our trees in our backyard looked picture perfect.

The kids and I have a cold this week, so I didn't take them out to play in the snow. We just saw snow for two weeks at Christmas, so I didn't feel like they would be missing out to much if we skipped it this time. Our house is officially on the market and we have an offer on a house that is contingent upon our house selling, so it is a little stressful around here. We are having an open house this weekend, so Josh and I are going to tidy up and head to the ranch so we won't be in the way for that, and mainly so the kids can't mess up the house over and over again while we try to keep it show ready. Jaden likes to sing the clean up song, but he is not much of a cleaner, and Brody can destroy a room in 5 minutes, so it is best to just head out of town. We are sure that God has a plan for us, and we are hopeful that it includes moving into the new house. Keep your finger crossed for us! I have lots of blog updating to do, but not enough time to do it, so hopefully soon I will get to all those posts.

We've been busy

We sure have been busy lately. We have decided to put our house up for sell and look for a new house. This is a fun and scary process. We don't have our house on the market quite yet, but we will really soon. We have been busy painting, cleaning and decluttering our house. ( Why do we have soooo many toys? And where am I suppose to hide them?) We have also been busy looking for a new house. We have alot of things on our new house wish list so I am sure we will be house hunting for a while.
Yesterday we went to Connor's 3rd birthday party. It was Brody's first time at a bouncy house place, and he really enjoyed it.

Bath time is so much fun now at our house. The boys play together and make each other laugh.
