I realize that I have been a bad blogger lately and have not been posting very often. I will try to post more frequently, but honestly we are just super busy around here and blogging isn't at the top of my list. I do know their are at least a few of you ( Grandmas and Grandpas ) who like keeping up with us through this blog, so I will do my best.
Brody is now 5 years old, or as he would say "a whole hand". It is very cliche to say, but time is going by way to fast for this mommy. I wish someone would slow down time because these boys are too fun and it is going by too fast! Brody got a million legos for Christmas and his birthday, thanks to all of his family and friends that love him so. We could probably build him a guest house in the backyard with all of the legos he owns. He would tell you that he still needs a few more sets from Lego City. I would tell you that we are at lego capacity. Brody is sweet and silly and serious and he makes my heart happy every day! Thank you God for blessing our family with this little lego, superhero obsessed kiddo! He completes our little family unit and brings so much joy to all those around him!
During Christmas break we ( and everyone else in Austin) checked out the new Austin Aquarium. They have several areas where the kids can actually touch the animals. The boys thought that was really cool! We got an annual pass, so we plan to make several more visits this year.
This year I surprised Josh for his birthday by having two of his best friends from Houston come to Austin and meet us at Top Golf. It was a complete surprise and the boys had a great time together! They spent the next day on Rainy Street watching football and I am sure laughing and reminiscing the good ole' days.
Sweet Addison celebrated a birthday in January too, so we drove to Houston to help celebrate. They just moved to a really cool area in Sugar land and we enjoyed spending time with them at their new house!
While we were in Houston we met Grandma B , Luke, Katie and Uncle Jake at a cool restaurant right on the water. Bubba's Shrimp Palace. The food was really yummy and they had a great sand area for the kids to play in. In an effort to make the most of our Houston trip we also went to Kiesch's house. He has a marina 2 blocks from his house and the boys got to see them loading boats in and out of the water. Pretty cool!
And last but not least, we stopped by Blue Bell on our way back to Austin to tour the facility. It is neat to see how they make the ice cream, but I think our favorite part was eating some at the end of the tour!
