Our Master Bath

I love our new master bath. I painted it a milk chocolate color called Coco Rum. We already had nice bathroom stuff in gold and rust colors. I didn't want to replace it all, so I just added to it. And I found the rugs at Wal-mart. They have all of the bathroom colors plus the beautiful blue. I put some blue accents in the candle holder on the wall to tie in the rugs. Maybe I'll change the candles too, or hand towels. Before I painted the walls chocolate, I painted them antique copper. I thought it was going to be beautiful, but instead it was like a salute to the University of Texas. Don't get me wrong, we love UT, but I don't want to think of the longhorns everytime I walk into the bathroom. You can see that color below. I think if there was not so much white, it might have worked.

Goodbye old friend

So my hot rollers died the other day. It made me think about how much my life has changed since I bought them to roll my hair for the senior prom in 1996. I can't believe they have lasted this long. The have seen me through long hair, short hair, blonde hair, brown hair, red hair, wavy hair, and through wierd pregnancy hair. They were there when I graduated high school, college, got married, bought a house, had two babies, and made to the new house before they gave out. Thanks for all the good hair days!
Meet the new version, totally sleeked up for 2010, I hope they last me as long as the old ones!

New House Pictures

Josh and I have been working hard getting the house put together. This weekend I painted our master bath and he did 3 hours of yard work. I'll post those pictures next time. Besides lots of work, we are enjoying just being in our new home. We have made friends with some neighbors, and I even went to the Ladies neighborhood Bunco group last week.
Here is the kitchen, it is really big and has so much storage I have empty cabinets. We had to get a new fridge and we picked the french door. I love it! In our old house we had stainless steel appliances and I hated them because both of the kids left fingerprints everytime they touched them, and it seemed like Brody made that his mission everytime he walked in the kitchen. The black is proving much better at not showing fingerprints, which means one less thing for me to clean! YEA!
The kitchen, breakfast area, and living room are all connected and open. I love being able to cook, or wash dishes and not feel like I am in the back corner of the house by myself.

Almost the whole downstairs has these beautiful hardwood floors that I adore

Finally a new post

I know it has been forever since I posted. Sorry if you have been checking back frequently and found nothing new. But finally, I have internet, and some pictures and a few minutes to blog. So here are the pictures of our new house from the real estate listing.

The front --- I have not taken any new pictures since we have moved in, but that will be my next post. And now for some cute ones of the kids.

My mom, grandma, aunt Kathy, and Josh's mom all got to spend Mother's Day together at our new house. I loved having all of the women around.

I know Easter was forever a go, but here are the boys Easter baskets
